Questions

Ask before you launch.

Ten honest answers. If yours is not here, the chat or a guide will tell you straight.

The questions

What happens at check-in?

A short briefing on the shore: how to sit and paddle, how to launch and land, the trail markers, and what to do if you want to stop. Questions are welcome. In this sample, guests sign a waiver at check-in; a real operator sets its own.

Why does the tide matter?

The trail is best paddled at mid to high tide, so tours and rentals are timed around a tide chart. A person confirms the time that suits the water when they reply.

Will we see wildlife?

We cannot promise it. Some paddles are quiet and some are busy. Your guide will tell you what is around and why it matters.

We have never paddled. Is that fine?

Say so in your request. A person will suggest the First Paddle or a tandem kayak and explain what the day involves before you decide.

What should we bring and wear?

A hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, drinking water and snacks, closed-toe shoes that can get wet, and a phone in a waterproof bag. In this sample, kayaks, paddles and life jackets are provided and fitted at check-in.

What if the weather turns?

The guide's call, on the day. Lightning, strong wind and a poor tide can move or cancel a paddle. If yours cannot go, the crew contacts you to talk through the options.

Are there age or group limits?

Age rules and group sizes are posted at check-in. Put your numbers and ages in the request and a person will confirm what applies.

Is it accessible?

Tell us in the request. A person will describe launching, seating and the trail honestly before you decide.

Where do we meet?

A person confirms the meeting point and parking in their reply. Details are not given in the chat.

How does a request work?

The chat or the form drafts a request: tour, dates, party, experience, kayaks, notes. A person confirms by email or a call. Nothing is booked or held until they do, and the chat takes no payment.
