Questions
Ask before you come aboard.
Ten honest answers. If yours is not here, the chat or the crew will tell you straight.
The questions
1What happens at check-in?
Every ride begins at the dock with a short briefing from your captain: where to sit, how to hold on, what the hand signals mean, and how to ask for a slower pace. Questions are welcome at any point.
2How loud is it?
Loud. The fan is the engine. Ear protection is offered at check-in and the captain will tell you when it is worth putting in.
3Will we see wildlife?
We cannot promise it, and nobody honest can. Lake Toho is a working wetland, so some rides are quiet and some are busy. Your captain will tell you what is around and why.
4What if the weather turns?
The captain decides on the day. Lightning, strong wind and poor visibility can pause or cancel a ride. If yours cannot go, the crew contacts you to talk through the options.
5Are there age or permit rules?
Minimum ages, seat rules and any limits are posted at check-in. Put the ages in your request and a person will answer before you travel. Ask the crew if you are unsure.
6What should we wear?
Closed shoes or secure sandals, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a layer for early rides. Hats without a chin strap will not stay on; leave them in the car.
7Is the boat accessible?
Tell us in your request. Boarding is from the dock, and a person will describe boarding and seating honestly before you decide, including whether a particular ride suits your group.
8How big can our group be?
Boats seat different numbers, and the seat limit is posted at check-in. Tell us your party size and ages; for larger groups a person will talk through boats and timing, or suggest the Whole-Boat Private ride.
9Is there a waiver?
In this sample, guests sign a waiver at check-in. A real operator sets its own.
10How does a request work?
Use the chat or the form. It drafts a request: ride, dates, party, ages, notes. A person at the dock reads it and confirms by email or a call. Nothing is booked or held until they do.
