A licensed trade owner who still runs calls, and a small crew who work the way he does because there are not enough of them for anybody to hide.
Why the reports look like that
The habit came from the other direction. Before this was a company it was one van doing
warranty work for a builder, and warranty work means every job gets written up for somebody
who was not there and does not trust you. You learn quickly that a report saying
“system serviced, operating normally” is worth nothing to anybody, and that a
report with eleven numbers on it ends arguments.
Then the same habit turned out to be the most useful thing we could hand a homeowner.
Not because they read every line — most people do not — but because it means
there is a line to read. A price with no readings behind it can only be trusted or
distrusted. A price with readings behind it can be checked.
Two trades, on purpose
Plumbing and air conditioning are treated as separate businesses almost everywhere,
and in Florida that separation causes real damage. The systems touch: an air handler makes
several gallons of water a day and has to get rid of them through a drain that is plumbing;
a water heater and an air handler often share a closet and share the air in it; a slab leak
and a failed hot-water recirculation loop present identically and one of them is an
afternoon and the other is a week.
Both tickets on one truck means the person standing in your garage can chase the actual
problem across the boundary instead of stopping at it.

What is deliberately not on this page
No star rating, no review count, no number of jobs completed, no “voted
best” badge, no percentage of anything. Not because those are hard to produce
— they are extremely easy to produce, which is the problem — but because a
site that argues you should check the numbers cannot then put unverifiable numbers about
itself at the top of the page.
What we will publish is the readings from the work, and the lines where we declined
to sell something. Those can be checked by the next contractor who reads the report.
The crew
Small enough that you will see the same two or three faces. Everyone carries gauges,
a manometer and a clamp meter, and everyone writes the report at the house rather than
from memory in the van afterwards, because a reading written from memory is not a reading.
