Four trucks only covers so much ground honestly. We would rather be forty minutes from everybody we serve than two hours from half of them.
It is not a decorative detail. A 1974 house in Altamonte and a 2016 house in Riverview are different jobs before we arrive. The older one is likely cast-iron drainage that has scaled and channeled, galvanized or polybutylene supply, an air handler in a closet too small for it, and ducting nobody has measured since it went in. The newer one is PVC and PEX, a proper return, and problems that are usually about installation quality rather than age.
Knowing which we are walking into decides what goes on the truck, and it is the difference between one visit and two.
We will say so on the phone rather than take the call and quietly add drive time to the invoice. If you are just past the edge and it is a job we can do properly in one visit, ask — the answer is sometimes yes. If it is a maintenance agreement two counties away, it is no, because we would not be able to get to you in August, which is exactly when you would need us.
