Questions
What people ask us most
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes, whenever a chair is free, Tuesday to Sunday. Weekday mornings are usually quickest. Send a request if you would rather not wait; the shop texts you back to agree a time.
How does a request work?
Tell us the service, the barber if you have one, and the day and time of day that suits you, with a name and a number. A barber texts you back to agree a time. Nothing is held until they do.
How much is a haircut?
A classic cut is $35, a skin fade $40, a taper $38 and a scissor cut $42. Beard trims are $22, a hot-towel shave $40, kids’ cuts $25 and line-ups $15. The full menu is on the services page.
What is the difference between a fade and a taper?
A fade goes all the way to the skin at the bottom; a taper leaves a little hair. A fade is sharper on day one; a taper grows out softer and lasts longer between cuts.
Can you cut curly or coily hair?
Yes, every barber here does. Luis does most of the curly and coily scissor work, and cuts it dry so the shape is right when it springs back.
Do you cut kids’ hair?
Yes, from a first haircut up to twelve years old, for $25. A parent can stay beside the chair, and we use scissors if the clippers are the problem.
Is a straight-razor shave safe?
Yes. A fresh single-use blade goes into the razor for every client, and the razor is disinfected between shaves. Tell us about razor bumps or sensitive skin and we change the passes.
Can I get a cut if I have a rash or something on my scalp?
Not over a rash, an open sore, lice or a scalp infection. It’s a hygiene rule every licensed shop keeps. Have a doctor or pharmacist look first, then come back once it has cleared.
How do I pay, and do you take tips?
Card, cash or phone pay. Tips are welcome and go straight to your barber.
Where do I park?
Behind the shop. Turn onto Sawgrass Lane from Magnolia Row and the car park is on your left.
