We ask how you wear it on a normal day, how often you come in, and whether you use product. Then we cut for that, not for how it looks leaving the chair.
- Clippers on the sides, blended into scissor work on top.
- Curly and coily hair cut dry, so it sits the way it will at home.
- Neck finished with a straight razor and a hot towel.

Sides first
Clippers or scissors on the sides and back, taken down in stages so nothing goes too short.
Top with shears
Scissor-over-comb and point cutting, checked in the mirror with you before the last pass.
Hot towel, razor, done
A hot towel on the neck, a straight-razor clean-up, and product only if you want it.

Scissor-over-comb
Shears following a comb, for a softer, even length where a clipper would look blunt.
Textured top
Point-cut so it moves and sits messy on purpose. Good with a little paste.
Grow-out cut
Tell us you’re growing it. We shape the in-between stage and take far less than you’d expect.

Haircuts & scissor cuts: straight answers
How long does a haircut take?
About 40 minutes for a classic cut and 45 for a scissor cut, including the hot towel at the end.
Do you wash hair?
If you ask, yes, at no extra charge. Most clients skip it; we wet the hair at the chair for scissor work unless it is curly, which we cut dry.
Can you cut curly or coily hair?
Yes. Luis does most of the curly and coily hair in the shop, and cuts it dry so the shape is right when it springs back.
Do I need to bring a photo?
It helps, especially for anything textured or longer. A photo of the back and side is worth more than one of the front.
