The bay is in Sarasota. The van covers Sarasota County.
A lot of rigs around here live in a storage lot rather than on a driveway, which is why the van exists. Below is where it goes, and — more usefully — what it can and cannot do once it gets there.
The route the van runs
Sarasota
The shop itself, on the north side. Three bays, and the only place the heavier axle and roof work happens.

Venice & Bradenton
Ten minutes out. Regular stops at the storage lots on this run — if we are already out that way, an inspection often lands on the same trip.

Osprey, Altoona & Pittman
North of the shop, up towards the forest. Plenty of rigs stored out this way and plenty that only get used twice a year, which is exactly the pattern that produces flat batteries and stale fuel.

West side of the county. A common run for gas tests and appliance work.

Scattered and mostly private property. Good van country — inspections, slide seals, small repairs.

What the van cannot do
- Anything needing the rig lifted and held safely: bearings, brakes, drums, axle work.
- Anything needing a scale run, which includes setting pressures from weight properly.
- Roof sealant in wind, or on a roof too hot to kneel on. It will not cure properly and we will not pretend it did.
- Slide-out rail and gear work, which needs the room supported.
- Any job where we would have to leave the rig open overnight in a lot that is not ours.
We tell you which side of that line your job falls on when you call, not after the van has turned up and charged you for finding out.
Why storage-lot rigs break differently
A rig that lives in a lot is a rig that sits. Sitting is what does the damage around here: batteries sulfate flat over a summer, fuel in a generator goes stale and varnishes the jets, tires take a set and cook in the sun on one spot, and roof sealant gets a full year of ultraviolet with nobody looking at it.
None of that shows up as a breakdown. It shows up on the first morning of a trip, several hours from home, which is the most expensive possible moment to discover it. That is the whole argument for a walk before the season rather than a repair during it.

Getting to the shop

There is room to turn a fifth wheel in the yard, and a pull-through for anything over thirty feet. If you are towing and not confident about the approach, ring from the road and somebody will walk out and wave you in.

The van runs a rough loop rather than a fixed schedule. If your lot is on this week’s loop, the call-out part of the job effectively disappears.
