Why the questions about washing and previous paintwork? Because both change what is possible before anyone has seen the car. A machine-polished second-hand car may have very little clear coat left to work with, and a car that goes through brushes every week will undo a correction faster than it can be paid for.

What happens next, on a real one

A call back, usually the same day, to hear about the car in your words.
A drop-off arranged around the work, not the other way round — coatings need the bay overnight.
A walk round the car together, dirty, before anything is touched.
Decontamination, then the gauge, then a test section — and only then a price.
A second call, in which you may well be told to spend less than you offered to.
The car back, with the report and the readings on it.
