This is the page where a real company's reviews would be. This company has never done any work for anybody, so inventing some would be the single most dishonest thing on the site.
Benchmark Drain & Sewer is an invented company built to demonstrate what a finished website looks like. It has no customers, so it has no reviews, no star rating and no number of jobs completed — and none of those appear anywhere on this site, including in the page code.
On a site we build for a real drain company, this page carries reviews pulled live from their own Google Business Profile, with the reviewer's name and date as Google holds them, and the rating exactly as Google reports it. Nothing typed in by hand, because a review typed in by hand is a review somebody wrote.
It also carries the replies. A worked-through complaint, answered in the owner's own words, tells a reader far more than a wall of five-star lines — and a company that only shows the good ones is telling you what it does with the rest.
No invented testimonials. No stock photographs of strangers with quotes underneath them. No aggregate rating in the page code that Google can read but a visitor cannot see. No “trusted by hundreds of families” on a company with no way to count them.
Those rules are not a style choice. A rating is a factual claim about other people's opinions, and there is no honest way to write one that nobody had.
The camera run on the front page is the whole of one job, including the work we were asked for and would not do.
