What the week actually looks like

Thursday is ours. Saturday is yours.

Nobody buys lawn care. They buy the Saturday they do not spend on the yard — or standing in it afterwards, wondering what was actually done to it.

  1. THU 10:05

The same crew turns up on the same day

No call the night before and no window to sit in. You can be at work, and the gate is the only thing anybody needs from you.

  2. THU 10:18

The mower is set to your grass, not to the route

St. Augustine Floratam wants three and a half to four inches, so yours is cut at 3.75 and the blade is checked on site — a dull blade tears rather than cuts, and a torn blade browns.

  3. THU 10:29

No fertilizer today, and the card says why

The county restricts nitrogen through the rainy season, so feeding now would run into the storm drain instead of the lawn. The skipped line is named on your card with the reason, rather than quietly applied because it was on the truck. That is a refusal, not a gap in the service.

  4. THU 10:42

The yard card is on your phone before the truck leaves the street

Species, cut height, blade condition, which zones ran, what was applied by name — and the one thing for next visit: the zone 4 head is throwing on the drive.

  5. SAT 09:00

You do not go out and look

You read the card on Thursday, so you already know the height, the zones and what was deliberately left alone. The yard stops being something you have to supervise.

That is the whole product: a Saturday the yard does not take — and a card specific enough that you never have to go outside and check it.

What you go home with

The yard card is the product.

Anyone can leave a yard looking cut. This is the document that shows what was actually decided — including what we decided not to sell you this month.

Cut height is the single most consequential number in this trade, and almost nobody publishes theirs. St. Augustine wants three and a half to four inches. Cut it at two because it looks tidier and you have scalped it: the runners burn, the weeds get the light they were waiting for, and the repair takes a season. It is free to get right and it is the first thing on your card.

The rest is the same idea. Blade condition, because a dull blade tears rather than cuts and a torn blade browns and lets fungus in. Which zones ran, because more Florida lawns are damaged by irrigation than by drought. And the work we skipped, because a month with no fertilizer and a reason beats a month with fertilizer and an invoice.

Before anything is quoted

The walkthrough is free, and it comes with a soil test.

Somebody walks the property, runs every irrigation zone, pulls a soil sample and writes down what is actually wrong — before there is a price on anything.

  • Grass species identified and the right cut height set — the number goes on every card afterwards
  • Every irrigation zone run and watched — arcs, blocked heads, and the rain sensor
  • Soil sample pulled and tested — pH decides whether feeding you is even possible
  • Beds, trees and drainage looked at — photographed, with anything urgent flagged
  • A written answer — including ‘your lawn needs mowing differently, not a program’

One residential property within the service area. There is no obligation and nothing is applied on the walkthrough. If the answer is that you do not need us, that is what the write-up will say.

How a visit goes

Five steps, and you approve the fourth one.

Most companies tell you the yard is done. We show you the numbers that decided what was done to it.

  1. 01

    Somebody walks the property first

Grass species, shade, slope, bed footage, the irrigation controller and the access. All of it changes the price and none of it can be worked out from a description on the phone.

Free, and nothing is applied on the walkthrough.

  2. 02

We find the number that is wrong

Usually it is the cut height, and usually nobody has ever asked what kind of grass it is. Sometimes it is a soil pH that makes feeding pointless, or a zone that has been watering the driveway for two years.

Soil sample pulled, every irrigation zone run and watched.

  3. 03

Anything beyond the visit is quoted

Itemized, with the photograph or the reading that made us recommend it. Approve all of it, some of it, or none of it.

Sent by text or email. Reply with a line number to decline that item.

  4. 04

You approve, then the crew comes

The same crew, on the same day. Nothing is applied, cut back or dug before you reply.

Cut height set to the species and written on every card afterwards.

  5. 05

The card goes to your phone before we leave the street

Species, height, blade condition, which zones ran, what was applied by name — and anything we deliberately did not do, with the reason.

Warranty: written on your work order, in months, before you approve it

What we do

Lawn, beds, trees, water and light.

If it is not something we should do, we will tell you who should. Anything near a power line or needing a permit goes to somebody licensed for it.

What customers say

Real reviews, pulled live. Not a wall of quotes we typed ourselves.

Reviews come straight from the company’s Google profile through the review widget already running on the other sites — so they update themselves and every one is verifiable.

This box is empty on purpose

Six Oaks has no reviews because Six Oaks has no customers. It is a demonstration company. We could have typed six glowing ones in here and you would never have known — which is the whole reason not to trust a testimonial you cannot click.

  1. 1It reads your Google profileNot a list we keep. The rating, the count and the newest reviews come from the place customers already leave them.
  2. 2It updates itselfA review left this morning is on your site this morning. Nobody copies anything across, so nothing can quietly go stale.
  3. 3You cannot curate itThe bad ones arrive with the good ones. That is the point — a five-star wall nobody can verify persuades nobody.

The same block is already running on the real sites we build. On yours it fills the moment your Google profile is connected.

The work

What the jobs actually look like.

Cutting, beds, pruning and planting — the four things a maintained property is made of, and the four places a corner gets cut when nobody is watching.

A trimmer cutting long grass at a kerb edge, clippings in the air
Edged to the same heightKerb lines and bed edges trimmed to the cut height, not scalped to the dirt.
A bed being mulched around plantings and a stone border
Beds, two to three inchesPulled back off every trunk. No volcanoes.
A pruning cut being made on a tree with a pole saw
Pruned to standardThinning cuts, on the plant’s own timing. Never topped.
Young plants in nursery bags ready for planting
Planted for the light it getsThe wrong plant in the wrong spot fails slowly enough that nobody gets blamed.

These are photographs of the work, not of this company — it is a demonstration business and has no jobs of its own. On a real build they would be your crew, your trucks and your properties.

The chat takes what the yard is doing and the address, then hands it to the desk. It books walkthroughs — it never tries to diagnose a lawn in a chat window.
