Every visit

The yard card, on your phone before we leave — grass species, the height it was cut at, whether the blade was sharp, which irrigation zones ran, and the line we deliberately did not do, with the reason.

How a visit goes

Five steps. You approve the fourth one, and nothing is cut back, applied or dug before that.

A lawn mower at work, close in on the deck and grass
  1. 01

    Somebody walks the property first

Grass species, shade, slope, bed footage, the irrigation controller and the access. All of it changes the price and none of it can be worked out from a description on the phone.

Free, and nothing is applied on the walkthrough.

  2. 02

We find the number that is wrong

Usually it is the cut height, and usually nobody has ever asked what kind of grass it is. Sometimes it is a soil pH that makes feeding pointless, or a zone that has been watering the driveway for two years.

Soil sample pulled, every irrigation zone run and watched.

  3. 03

Anything beyond the visit is quoted

Itemized, with the photograph or the reading that made us recommend it. Approve all of it, some of it, or none of it.

Sent by text or email. Reply with a line number to decline that item.

  4. 04

You approve, then the crew comes

The same crew, on the same day. Nothing is applied, cut back or dug before you reply.

Cut height set to the species and written on every card afterwards.

  5. 05

The card goes to your phone before we leave the street

Species, height, blade condition, which zones ran, what was applied by name — and anything we deliberately did not do, with the reason.

Warranty: written on your work order, in months, before you approve it

And this is what step five hands you

The yard card.

VISIT 0312COMPLETEExample visit
HEIGHTCut at 3.75 inSt. Augustine, Floratam. Species range is 3.5 to 4.0 inches; cutting it shorter scalps the runners and lets weeds in. Blade checked sharp before the first pass.WeeklyIncluded
ZONE 4Head off arcThrowing onto the driveway, which is wasted water and a restriction problem. Reset scheduled for the next visit; no charge, it is a two-minute adjustment.0.0 hrNext visit
SKIPPEDFertilizer — not this monthYour county restricts nitrogen through the rainy season. Feeding now runs into the storm drain rather than the lawn. Height and irrigation carry it until the window opens.$0.00On purpose

Tell us about the property. The walkthrough is free.

The chat takes what the yard is doing and the address, then hands it to the desk. It books walkthroughs — it never tries to diagnose a lawn in a chat window.
