We write your filter's clean starting pressure on the order at the first service, so from then on you and we are both reading the same gauge. Without it, “clean the filter” is a guess sold four times a year.
What we find when it comes apart
Torn cartridge pleats, a cracked manifold, a collapsed lateral in a sand filter — all of them let dirt straight back into the pool while the gauge still looks fine. The inside gets inspected and photographed every time it is opened.
Media has a life and we will tell you when it ends
Cartridges are a wear part. Sand loses its edge. DE grids tear. We would rather tell you a cartridge has one more clean in it than sell you a set you did not need yet.
