Florida’s handyman exemption covers work that is “casual, minor, or inconsequential” and under $2,500 in total, labor and materials together. Past that, or if it’s part of a bigger job, it needs a licensed contractor.
A rental turnover or an inspection list can cross that line. When yours might, we say so up front. We don’t split a list into smaller invoices to stay under it. The law says a job divided to dodge the limit doesn’t count as small, and neither do we.
