TV mounting. Into the block, not the drywall.
Most outside walls around here are concrete block behind furring strips and drywall. The mount goes through to the block, with the right anchors. Inside walls go into the studs.
The most common way a TV comes off a wall in Central Florida is a mount screwed into drywall on an outside wall, with nothing behind it but a strip of furring and an air gap. It holds for a month. We find what’s behind the wall first, every time, and say which it is before a hole is drilled.
On an inside wall the mount goes into two studs, found and checked. On an outside wall it goes through the furring into the block, with masonry anchors sized for the mount and the set. On a brick fireplace we drill the mortar joints where we can, not the face of the brick.

Can you hide the wires in the wall?
Not the power: an in-wall power kit connects to the house wiring, which is a licensed electrician’s job in Florida. We’ll mount the set and run the cords in a cover on the wall surface, or leave the wall ready for the electrician.
Do you bring the mount?
We can, or we’ll use yours. Either way it goes on the written price before anything is bought.
