Garage door repair — websites and AI staff

A spring lets go at nine at night. The photo of it gets a real number before anyone else opens their email.

A finished garage door repair site — press anything

Ironleaf Garage Doors is a company we invented, and built end to end.

Turning the force up so the door stops reversing — refused at $0.00, because the reversal is the safety feature working.

The problem in garage door repair

A torsion spring fails and the day ends badly for somebody — the car is shut in and they cannot get to work, or the door is stuck half up and the house is standing open all night. They photograph the spring, or the model sticker on the opener, and send it to three companies asking what it costs. Salt air on both coasts is quietly eating springs, rollers and openers faster than anywhere inland, and the snowbird doors that have not moved since March fail on the first press in January. You are on a ladder with a winding bar in your hands and you read all of it later.

What your AI staff does for garage door repair

How somebody in garage door repair actually gets found

It starts with a question typed at the worst possible hour.

  1. 01

    They type this

“garage door won’t close and beeps”

    Nine at night

  2. 02

    Meanwhile, at your end

A spring has let go, or the photo-eyes are out of line, and every listing looks identical.

  3. 03

What has to exist for you to be the answer

The distinction, written down: a door that stops six inches up is usually the travel limit, and a beeping door is usually the safety eyes. A page that says that is answering the question.

  4. 04

What we put in that path

    • A page that separates the spring from the opener from the eyes
    • The chat says do not lift it and do not touch the spring
    • A ticket with the reverse test result on it

Nobody can sell you a position in a search result or an AI answer. There is no ranking to buy and no slot to reserve — an assistant composes its answer fresh for every question. What can be done is all of step four: make the business legible, put the answers in plain text a crawler receives, and let every AI crawler in. We do that on every site we build, and we will not promise you the paragraph.

Why this package and not three suppliers

One build, one bill, and the website is yours whatever happens next.

What most businesses in this trade are running

  • Somebody who built the website, once, and moved on
  • Somebody else posting, if anybody is
  • Software that does not know either of them exist

Three relationships, three invoices, and nothing that carries a lead from the first to the third without a person retyping it.

What this is instead

  • The site, built new on your own name
  • The chat and the marketing that feed it
  • The crew, the schedule and the documents everyone signs

One build. The lead that arrives at nine at night is already on the screen you open in the morning, because it never left the system.

Whether it is worth it, in one division

$249 a month ÷ your gross profit per job = the extra jobs a month that pay for it

That is arithmetic on your number, not a promise about ours. We do not publish a recovery rate, because nobody can honestly know one — and the full price, the setup and the smaller door are all in the pricing panel below.

And if you ever stop, you keep your website. It is on your own domain, and it does not switch off because the subscription did.

The moment it earns its keep

9:20 on a Tuesday night. A spring goes and the car is locked in. He photographs the broken spring and the sticker on the opener and messages three companies. The chat asks how many springs are on the shaft and whether the door is stuck up or down, and files it. You are eating dinner. At seven the next morning you open one screen: the photos, the part identified, the address, and a drafted number. You text him before the other two have opened their email, and you are there by ten.

Worth knowing

Where the line is, plainly — and what still needs measuring. The staff, the photo intake, reviews, marketing and the website all run for a garage door company today. ⛔ The shop-management platform is the part we do NOT sell you: it was built around cars in bays with an insurer paying at the end, not a van and a call list. ⚠️ Repairs quote well from a photo because the trade is SKU-driven. A full REPLACEMENT does not — the opening has to be measured and the wind rating for that address confirmed, and the estimator will say so rather than invent a number. ⚠️ And the nine-o'clock emergency is often a phone call, which our staff does not answer. What they answer is the photo and the "what does this cost" message, which in this trade is most of it.

Your customers do not only get in touch during business hours — they get in touch when the problem happens. The lit strip is the shift that covers it.

Why customers notice this stuff · the numbers

The customers judging your trade already shop everywhere else online — their standard for answered-fast and looked-after was set by companies a thousand times your size.

MoneyA hire, an agency, a consultant — each one costs more than the problem seemed to.
TimeEvery one of these jobs loses to a car that needs to leave on Friday. Every time.
Know-howAds, SEO, review strategy — a second trade you were never asked if you wanted.
StressOne more open loop at 11pm. So it waited. That was the rational choice.

None of that was laziness — it was arithmetic. Doing this properly used to mean a hire or an agency. That's the arithmetic that changed:

ONE HIRE (mean US receptionist wage, BLS 2025)$39kALL 8 BOTS, YEAR ONE (SETUP INCLUDED)$7.2k · 18%

That is year one with the $2,995 setup in it; every year after is $4,188 — about 11%. Wage is the kindest comparison anyway: it leaves out payroll taxes, benefits and hiring. And we're not claiming a bot replaces a person; we're showing where the price sits. Both numbers are checkable.

Start here

See it on your own garage door repair business.

Tell us the name and a way to reach you. One of our specialists builds a short demo on your business and sends you the link — no card, and nobody rings you at dinner unless you ask them to.

No card, no password. Your details go to one person and nowhere else.

We build for these too

Plenty of garage door repair and installation companies run more than one of these. Same build, same staff, priced the same way.

Not sure which part is costing you most? Start from the problem instead — missed calls, slow estimates, wasted ad spend.

Built for AI search · on every site we build

Built to be read by the machines your customers now ask.

People do not only type into a search box any more — they ask ChatGPT, Google, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok or Copilot, and an assistant can only repeat what a page actually says. So we build yours to be read: the answers rendered as plain text a crawler receives, real numbers instead of “contact us”, every AI crawler let in by name, and your own listings agreeing with each other. It is part of the build, not an add-on with a price on it.

And it is built on your own domain, in your own accounts — the part most businesses rent from somebody else. Owning it is the difference between running the marketing side of your business and being a passenger in it.

Do not get left behind by this. Be in front of it — and we walk you through the whole thing.
