Auto repair online appointments and scheduling that start with what the car is doing.
Today the chat on your website asks what the car is doing and when it started, then hands the request to a person at your desk. Offering your drop-off days, and photo intake, are not live on every site. Nothing is set until you say yes.
In short. Auto repair online appointments and scheduling start with the chat asking what the car is doing and when it began. It hands the request to your desk, and a person writes the price. We can set the chat to offer your drop-off days. Photo intake is not live.
A stand-in repair bay for this page. Our sample shop, Cypress Line Auto Repair, is invented.

Drop-off days offered, confirmed by a person.
A repair shop runs on the day's bays, so the days follow the kind of visit. We can set up the days you take cars in, and the chat offers only those. The calendar below is an example layout.
- 1She says what the car does
- 2Chat offers drop-off days
- 3A person says yes
Nothing is set until a person on your team says yes.
Five pieces of an online estimate, and which are live.
Each card says what it is and whether it exists today. Where a card says it is set up with you, it is not live on every site, and nothing here should be read as saying it works everywhere now.
Live today
The chat asks what the car is doing
A light, a noise, a car that will not start, or a routine service. The chat asks which, then asks when it started and whether the light is steady or flashing. It takes a name and a number.
Live today
It never guesses and never prices
A cause cannot be found from a chat window, and a repair cannot be priced from a typed line. So the chat does neither. It tells the driver plainly that a person will pick up the request.
Written by your desk
Your desk writes every price
The request lands in front of a person on your team, who talks with the driver and writes the price for her exact car. She approves it before any work. If the car needs more, she hears first.
Set up with you
Drop-off days offered by the chat
We can set the chat to offer the days you take cars in, by kind of visit: drop-off, waiting room, late pickup. It only offers them. A person on your team confirms or suggests another day.
Not live yet
Photos of the car or the dashboard
A driver could attach a photo of the warning light or a leaking spot, to help your desk. Photo intake is live for auto body only. For a repair shop it is not live, and we can build it.
Questions drivers and shop owners type, answered plainly.
Can an auto repair shop give an online estimate?
Partly. Today the chat asks what the car is doing, then sends the request to your desk, where a person writes the price. The chat names no figure and gives no diagnosis. We cannot price a repair from a typed description, and we will not pretend to.
Can customers schedule a repair online?
They can ask for a day. Today the driver describes the car and leaves a name and a number, and you confirm by phone or email. We can set the chat to offer the drop-off days you choose. It only offers them. A person on your team says yes.
Can a driver send a photo of a warning light?
Not today. Photo intake is live for auto body shops only, not yet for repair shops. If it ever came, your desk would still read the picture, talk with the driver herself and write the price for her exact car.
Three steps, and a person at the end of each.
The point is a request your desk can act on without calling back to ask what the car was doing. Here is the order.
- Step
The driver says what the car does
She picks the closest description: a warning light, a noise, will not start or a routine service. The chat asks when it began and whether the light is steady or flashing.
- Step
The chat offers days, and a name goes down
If days are set up, the chat offers your drop-off days. She leaves a name and a number so your desk is not guessing who owns the car. It diagnoses nothing and names no price.
- Step
A person writes the price and says yes
Your desk reads the request, calls her, writes the price for her car and confirms a day. She approves each line first. The sample site ends with a plain note that nothing was actually sent.
What a chat should never do, and what we do instead.
A frightened driver will believe a chat window more than she should. So there are lines this one does not cross.
Name the cause
A light means the car stored a code, and a code points to a circuit, not to a part. Guessing from a chat window is how drivers pay for parts they did not need. The chat asks and records instead.
Name a price
A fair price needs the exact car and a person who has looked. The chat gives no figure and no range. Your desk writes the price, and the driver approves it line by line.
Set a day on its own
The chat can offer a day. It cannot hold one. Nothing is set until a person on your team says yes, so a full bay is never promised by a machine.
Promise a result
We cannot promise that the chat brings customers or fills your week. We can make sure that the driver who writes at night reaches a person, with what she described already written down.
See your own business's home page before you pay anything.

Straight answers.
What are online appointments for an auto repair shop?
Today it means the chat on your site asks what the car is doing and passes the request to your desk, where a person writes the price. It is not a price from a machine. Photo intake is not live for repair shops.
Does the chat diagnose the problem?
No. It asks what the car is doing, whether a light is steady or flashing, and when it started, then records the answers for your desk. It never names a cause, and it never tells a driver the car is safe or unsafe.
Does the chat give a price or a range?
No. Not a price, not a range, not a typical figure. Your desk writes the price for her exact car, and she approves each line before any work begins. If more is found on the lift, work stops and she hears first.
Can the chat confirm a day for the customer?
No. It can offer the drop-off days you set up. Nothing is held or confirmed until a person on your team says yes, by phone or email. The driver is told that plainly in the chat.
Where do the requests go?
To the people you choose, by email, with the name, the number and what the driver said about the car, so nobody starts the conversation from zero. You read the request, and the next step is yours.
Is this live on every site?
The chat that asks what the car is doing is live on our sample shop. Offering days by kind of visit is set up with you, and photo intake is not live for repair shops. We tell you which is which before you decide.
