Not knowing what the month actually made
Waiting for month end to find out what you made means every correction happens after the month it applies to. A daily figure is worth more than a perfect one: knowing roughly where you are each morning lets you change something while the month can still be changed. The honest requirement is that the number reports only what is genuinely in the system, and says so plainly when data is missing rather than showing a confident zero.

What we won't claim
