The problem · every trade
A bad review sits at the top of your profile until somebody deals with it. What the research says about owner responses, and what we draft for you.

The short answer
Replying to a bad review is not about changing the reviewer’s mind — it is about what the next customer reads. In BrightLocal’s 2026 consumer survey, 37% of people named "the owner has responded to the review" as a factor when judging a business by its reviews, and 68% said they would only use a business rated four stars or better. A reply is the only part of a bad review you control.
Before the pitch
We will not tell you a reply removes a bad review or lifts your rating by some amount. It does neither. Survey evidence measures what people say influences them, not what wins the job — the honest claim is that a reply is visible to the next reader, and silence is too.
The fix
Whose job it is: The Review Chaser
A new review is noticed the day it lands, the bad ones included, instead of the week somebody happens to look.
Written in your voice, addressing the specific complaint rather than a template apology.
Nothing goes onto your profile without your yes. A reply to an angry review is exactly the thing you want to read before it goes out.
The research
Every figure was read at its source, and each one says what it does not prove as well as what it does.
37%
of consumers name "the owner has responded to the review" as one of the factors that matters when they judge a business by its reviews.
What it doesn't prove: It measures what people say influences them, not what they were observed to do. It does not say a reply wins the job.
BrightLocal, Local Consumer Review Survey 2026 · verified 20 August 2026
68%
of consumers say they will only use a business rated four stars or higher — up from 55% the previous year.
What it doesn't prove: Stated intent in a survey. Real behavior is usually softer than stated intent; treat the direction as the finding, not the decimal.
BrightLocal, Local Consumer Review Survey 2026 · verified 20 August 2026
44%
of consumers say a review matters most if it was posted in the last month; 32% look for reviews from the past two weeks, up from 20% the year before.
What it doesn't prove: Self-reported preference. It is the clearest published reason that review-gathering is ongoing work rather than a one-off, but it is not a measured effect on sales.
BrightLocal, Local Consumer Review Survey 2026 · verified 20 August 2026
47%
of consumers say they would not use a business with fewer than 20 reviews.
What it doesn't prove: Self-reported. It is a reason to keep asking for reviews, not a promise about what any given count is worth.
