Roofers · Online estimates and scheduling

Roofing online estimates and scheduling that offer the days you really work.

Today the chat on your website asks what the roof is doing and lets the homeowner ask for a day. That part is live. Offering the days you work in each area, and photo intake, are not live. We can build both. Nothing is set until you say yes.

In short. Roofing online estimates and scheduling start with the chat asking what the roof is doing and letting the homeowner ask for a day. You confirm by email or call. We can set the chat to offer the days you work in her area. Photo intake is not live.

Today the chat asks where the water comes in. Photos are what we can build.

Scheduling

Days offered by area, confirmed by a person.

A roofing crew works one part of town at a time, so the days follow the map. We can set up the days you work in each area, and the chat offers only those. The calendar below is an example layout.

  2. 2Chat offers days for her area

01 What we can build

Six pieces of a photo estimate, and which are live.

Each card says what it is and whether it exists today. Where the tag says we can build it, it is not live, and nothing here should be read as saying it works now.

  • We can build it

She sends photos from her phone

From the chat on your site she could attach photos taken from the ground: the roof from the front, the damaged section, and the stain on the ceiling inside. No app to install and no account to make. This is not live today. It can be set up.

  • We can build it

The chat tells her what to photograph

A short, plain prompt for each picture: stand back far enough to see the whole section, one photo of any lifted or missing shingle or tile, one of the ceiling. It would also ask her never to climb onto the roof. The wording is yours to approve.

  • Question live · photos can be built

    Where the water comes in

The chat already asks whether water is coming in now and where. With photo intake built, her answer and her pictures could arrive together, so you read her words and see the stain side by side. The question is live today. The photos can be built.

  • We can build it

Photos and conversation reach you together

We can set up the request to reach you by email with the photos, her contact details and the whole conversation in one message, so you are never piecing a job together from three texts and a voicemail. Today the request reaches you without photos.

  • You decide

You review at your desk and write the estimate

You look at the photos when you are at your desk, decide what you can tell from them and what you cannot, and write the estimate yourself. The chat never gives a figure. Where photos are not enough, you say so and arrange a visit.

  • Live today

She asks for a day, and you confirm

This part is live today: the homeowner can ask for a day through the chat, and you confirm by email or call. With photos built, that reply could come after you have already seen the roof, with a day and time you chose.

People ask

Questions roofers and homeowners type, answered plainly.

Can a roofer give an online estimate?

Partly. Today the chat asks what the roof is doing and whether water is coming in, then emails you the request. You write the estimate yourself, after you have seen enough or paid a visit. The chat names no figure and gives no diagnosis. Photo intake is not live. We can build it.

How do customers schedule a roofer online?

She tells the chat what the roof is doing and asks for a day. Today you get the request and confirm by email or call. We can set the chat to offer the days you work in her area. It only offers them. A person on your team says yes.

Can a roofer's website show which days he works in my area?

It can. We would draw a small calendar of the days you work in each area and let the chat offer those days. It is not live on every site, so we set it up with you. You choose the areas and days, and change them when the crew changes.

02 How it would go

A homeowner, a phone, and a roofer at his desk.

This is the story we can build, told in the order it would happen. Photo intake is not live, so read every step as what would happen once it is set up.

  1. Step

    The stain appears

She opens your site and the chat asks what is happening with the roof. She says a leak, and the chat asks whether water is coming in now and where. That much is how the chat works today.

  2. Step

    She sends photos

Once photo intake is built, the chat would ask for the roof from the ground, the damaged section and the ceiling stain. She takes them from her phone, standing in the yard and in the hallway, and sends them in the same chat.

  3. Step

You review them at your desk

The photos would reach you with her details and the conversation. You look when it suits you, between jobs or at the kitchen table, and decide what you can tell. No drive-out first, just to look at a roof you can see on a screen.

  4. Step

You reply with a day and time

You write the estimate and reply to her with a day and time that suit your crew, or you tell her honestly that the roof needs a visit first. The chat never names a cost, and nothing reaches her unless you send it.

03 The straight part

What is live today, and what is not.

Read this part first. It says plainly what a roofer gets today and what is still only something we can build.

  • Live today: asking for a day

The chat asks what is happening with the roof, asks whether water is coming in now and where, and lets the homeowner ask for a day. The request is emailed to you. You confirm by email or call. It answers day and night.

  • Not live: photo intake

A homeowner cannot send a photo of her roof through the chat today. We will tell you when photo intake is built and has been tried from a phone end to end, and not before. We name no date for it.

  • A photo is not an inspection

Photos from the ground cannot show everything on a roof. Some jobs need a person up there, and you decide which. The chat never states a diagnosis, and it never tells a homeowner what is wrong with her roof.

  • No figure from the chat

Every estimate is written by you and sent by you. The chat does not name a cost, does not promise a repair date, and does not promise how a claim to an insurer will go. Those decisions stay with you.

Questions

Straight answers.

Can a roofer give an estimate from photos?

Sometimes a first look is possible, and sometimes it is not. A clear photo from the ground can show missing shingles or tiles, a lifted edge, or a ceiling stain. It cannot show everything on the roof. That is why we would leave the decision to you: you review the photos, write the estimate yourself, or tell the homeowner a visit is needed first.

Can customers send photos of roof damage to my website today?

Not yet. Photo intake for roofing is not live. Today the chat on your site asks what is happening with the roof, asks whether water is coming in now and where, and lets the homeowner ask for a day. Photos are something we can build, and we will tell you when it works end to end, not before.

What photos should a homeowner take of a roof leak?

From the ground: the roof from the front and from the side that faces the damage, taken far enough back to see the whole section. Any lifted, cracked or missing shingle or tile if she can see it from the yard. Inside, the ceiling stain, and the wall below it. She should never climb up for a better picture.

What does the website chat do for a roofer today?

It answers day and night. It asks what is happening with the roof: a leak, storm damage, or someone saying she needs a new roof. It asks whether water is coming in now and where, lets her ask for a day, and emails you the request. It does not diagnose a roof and never gives a figure for the job.

Can you tell roof damage from a photo?

A person can tell some things, and the chat should not try. We would not have the chat judge a roof. It would collect the pictures and the homeowner's own words and put them in front of you. What the damage is, what it needs and what it will cost stay your decision, made by a roofer who has seen the photos.

Would I still visit every roof?

Many roofs, yes. A photo estimate is meant to save the drive-out when all you need is a first look, not to replace a visit when the roof calls for one. If the pictures are not enough, you reply asking to come out. You choose, job by job, and the homeowner is never told a visit is unnecessary.

What about a homeowner who is filing an insurance claim?

Photos from her phone may be useful to her, and she would keep her own copies. We make no promise about how an insurer treats any photo, and the chat does not advise her on a claim. Your estimate is your own work for your own company. What her insurer decides is between her and the insurer.

What would it take to set this up for my company?

We would add photo prompts to your chat, set the request to reach you with the pictures, and test it from a real phone before it goes live. You would read and approve the wording first. Ask us and we will say where it stands. Until then, asking for a day is what the chat does.
