Drain cleaning · website example

A drain cleaning website, built end to end.

Every page below is live. Benchmark Drain & Sewer is a company that does not exist — we built it end to end so you can press things instead of reading about them. Yours would be built the same way, on your own name.

Why drain cleaning businesses run this

You are under a sink with your arm in a trap when the next one comes in. The staff answers the chat, sorts a branch from a main, and hands you the answer.

Yours is the trade customers have been taught to distrust, and they have half a point: a line that backs up twice a year can be sold twice a year forever, and nobody ever finds out what was actually wrong. So the owner who DOES own a camera, and who does write down what it found, has the hardest marketing problem on this list — the thing that makes him different is invisible from the street, invisible in a directory listing, and impossible to put in a five-star review. Meanwhile he is the best technician in his own company and physically cannot answer the phone at the hour the work is being won.

Where the line is, for drain cleaning: Bots ready today · marketing plan, not the shop platform. Two limits, plainly. First: there is no voice bot. The staff answer web chat and take photographs; they do not pick up the telephone, and a main line backing up at seven on a Saturday is one of the few jobs where a customer still phones. You will get real value out of the chat for the quotes, the camera enquiries, the home inspections and the slow-drain calls — and less out of it for the emergency half of your week than a pool or a detailing company gets. Second: the shop-management platform is the part we do NOT sell you, and that is a decision rather than a delay. It was built around cars sitting in bays moving through a paint booth with an insurer paying at the end, and a two-hour callout with no vehicle and no bay is a different animal. The bots and the website are what we sell into your trade.

The best line on the front page

A quarterly cabling plan — declined at $0.00, because four cablings a year is a subscription to a joint nobody has repaired.

And the number this trade usually hides

The footage counter on the camera, the sonde depth in inches, and the 1/8 in of fall per foot a 4-inch sewer is allowed — so "roots in the line" can be checked by anybody.

Why it looks like that: A camera run — soil-dark ground, a ruled footage rail read downward, and a drawn section through the front lawn. Every trade here gets its own structure, not the same page in a different color — which is the whole difference between a website and a template.

What one costs, and what is in it — or look at roofing, tree service, garage door repair instead, or every demonstration site we have built.
